Course Objective

  • Apply the basic principles and theory of how penetrant works
  • Learn processes and methods used, as well process variables and the advantages and disadvantages for each
  • Find discontinuities
  • Differentiate between relevant and non-relevant (false) indications
  • Learn and apply widely used codes, standards, and specifications
  • Address safety and health concerns

Course Prerequisite

Students must be 18 years old or older, be eligible to work in the United States, and have previously completed Nondestructive Testing: Visual Testing
