Course Description

Introduction to Basic Rigging (00106): Identifies different types of rigging slings and hardware and describes how those items are used. It explains how to properly inspect slings and hardware items. It also examines different types of hoists used in rigging, and describes common rigging hitches and how to make the Emergency Stop hand signal.

Course Objective

The objectives for this course include

  • Identify and describe various types of rigging slings, hardware, and equipment.

Course Prerequisite

Students must be 18 years old or older and be eligible to work in the United States.
