Course Description
Overhead Crane covers the following:
Provides an overview of standards and regulations as well as classes and types of cranes. Teaches important crane components and accessories and how to properly inspect a crane before use. Includes daily checklist information and standard crane hand signals. Reviews safe crane operations, procedures, and rigging information.
Course Objective
The objectives of this course include:
- Identify different classes and types of cranes
- Identify various bridge/gantry crane components and accessories
- Perform crane inspections with a daily checklist
- Learn standard hand signals and safety procedures
- Learn safe rigging practices and load calculations
Course Prerequisite
Students must be 18 years old or older and be eligible to work in the United States.
