GTAW–Equipment and Filler Materials (29207): Explains GTAW safety. Identifies and explains the use of GTAW equipment, filler metals, and shielding gases. Covers the setup of GTAW equipment.

Classes are Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00-10:00 p.m.

Students must:

  • be 18+
  • be eligible to work in the US
  • have previous welding training or experience
  • Identify GTAW related safety practices and describe the electrical characteristics that affect GTAW
  • Identify GTAW equipment and consumables
  • Set up for GTAW welding
  • Produce basic weld beads
Must have previous welding training or experience. If you do not have prior welding training or experience, please apply for our NCCER Structural Fitting & Welding class. Upon completion, you can then apply for GTAW Plate & Pipe.
